Our 9th Seattle Rock Day in the Books!

Hola Bitcholas,

Today was the 9th Annual Seattle Rock Day. Yeah, it's a thing...and it SHOULD be, considering the Emerald City's contribution to rock and the high regard with which it is held.

That we work at the rock station IN Seattle is pretty epic. Truly.

Back in '90 or '91 I was cutting my teeth with my band back in Baltimore. Hair metal was all the rage and I really hated it. Subpop Records came along and informed us who did NOT live in Seattle to what greatness was afoot. It was life-changing thing at the time. As a musician, in particular, it was an exciting thing to hear rock bands getting back to rock and seriously BRINGING it.

Anyway, if you'd told my broke, mean ass back then that I would have the chance to work at THE rock station at ground zero of this movement, I wouldn't have believed you. Fast forward and here I am. It's not lost on me. Never has been.

We're proud to contribute to Seattle rock. That is an understatement. Thank you for letting us be a part of it.

OK, time to drink. Rock on, motherf**kers. Always.

Until Monday, do what you do best and STAY BEAUTIFUL!
